Battersby Buildings have 75 flats, yet few residents know each other. Beryl, recently widowed lives on the ground floor, television her only companion. Above her lives Chelsea, struggling as a newly single mum. Along the corridor lives Simon, a young man with learning disabilities and a passion for ‘flash mobbing’. On the top floor lives Laura who, unbeknownst to them, connects them in her role as a Samaritan.
