When young German aristocrat, Adam von Trott, graduated in politics at Oxford in 1933, he returned to his native land against the advice of his English friends. Hitler had come to power and Adam knew he had to actively resist this monstrous travesty of a leader from within. Working in the German Foreign office, he communicated with those who resisted the regime throughout Europe. Eventually, as the regime’s crimes escalated, he became deeply involved with von Stauffenberg’s July plot to assassinate Hitler. A thought-provoking and intricately researched play from this impressive company of Oxford students.
